Summary:
General Antonio Luna has been killed, but the war is far from over. Known by many as “the President’s favorite,” Gen. Gregorio “Goyo” del Pilar is tasked to lead the Philippines’ revolutionary forces against the Americans. Alongside him are his brother, Col. Julian del Pilar and dear friend Col. Vicente Enriquez.
To the Filipinos, Goyo seems to have everything under control. He is confident, loved by many (especially the ladies), and people look up to him. “Ikaw ang agila,”as mentioned by his brother.
But there is a side of Goyo that Filipinos do not know or have not seen. Underneath all his charm and success lies an internal struggle, and it just goes to show that in every battle, even the strongest, most idolized heroes are still human beings.
Analysis:
What I liked the most is the cinematography, and how the story was told. it’s shows the struggles of the Filipino’s during this period. And also this movie showed how Filipino’s fought for our beloved country. Also this movie made us realize that our heroes are still human being, they get tired and also get hurt just to saved us. They also made mistakes and actions that we can relate on and use the values that we learned in our everyday life.
Conclusions :
Heroes are also human beings that make mistakes, they aren’t perfect but they will do their best to save us. And this movie taught us that leadership is very important, because leadership now a days protect only themselves. They didn’t think the people they handled in short they are selfish because they didn’t care for others. Like those brave men, we should stand for what is right and have courage in our every day life.
